About the Carbon AT

After almost one year of focused developing we finally have a finished eBoard out of resilient & nice looking  carbon fiberwith a proper & comfortable design so you won't have any problems with wheel-bite or unsafe standing.  Beside  high-quality materials, we also focused on high-quality & well-working parts for the electronics such as the customized Hobbywing ESC with 3 speed modes & a sensor for smooth braking & acceleration, which offers you a safer and enjoyable ride on your electric skateboard. Furthermore, the ergonomic Remote is also a customized version of Hobbywing which gives you outstanding control feeling so that you get merged with your eSkateboard. The Carbon AT comes with  huge motors unified in a dual belt driving system and a  big 14 Ah  Sanyo lithium ion  batteryfor  long ranges up to 30 km. For the wheels, we used  elastic Honeycomb Tires 6" (150 mm) with solid rubber, so they give  suspension comfort as well as enough stability to you and your electric skateboard. They also give you the advantage of riding on any terrain, even if there is mud, bricks or high grass. Compared to air tires you never have to check the pressure on them & never have to worry about any sharp objects on the way. Because of their hardness, they also work pretty well for drifts and slides. All these features won't be that enjoyable without the double King Pin axles with proper bushings & a suitable truck length. We tried different types of parts & suppliers until we found the solutions with the best results.

Be careful, the Carbon AT is a beast but a nice one!

The electric skateboard evolution reached an advanced stage. eSkateboards aren't longer just toys with a board & electric driven wheels. They became a serious part of our modern mobility like cars and motorcycles, and so we decided to develop a serious eBoard which we can recommend to you with the best conscience.

With our previous products, we already received lots of happy customers and a big fan community. You can already check out lots of reviews which shows you that our products are reliable and convincing but the  Carbon AT is on a new level!

Hub vs. Belt Drive

A belt driven eBoard has the motor mounted outside the wheel with a belt connecting the motor and wheel with a sprocket. A hub motor has the motor mounted inside the wheel with no need for a belt.

Belt Drive
Our belt drive system allows for interchangeable wheels and of course a full polyurethane wheel for a more  comfortable ride and  greater customization. The 3:1 gear ratio offers so much  more torque than a hub motor of the same power.  Faster acceleration, better hill climbing ability, & power over  rough terrain where hub motors are left in the dust.

Hub Drive
With just a few mm of Polyurethane separating the motor and the riding surface, hub motors don't provide a very comfortable ride on anything but the smoothest of roads. Yep, we admit, hub motors are more discreet and look great. If you prefer the look of a hub motor then that's fine, but if you prefer more torque, acceleration and complete customization then belt drive is the way forward.

    AT Carbon great all around

I have now had my Ownboard AT Carbon for almost two months. I've taken it 50 plus miles. I've reached 23mph and 20 mile range at 14 mph average. The board is the real deal and worth the money. It has a ton of power and distance. The Carbon AT has a ton of torque so the back end slips out on gravel and dirt, so watch your balance. It cruises up the steep hills no problem. All around 5 stars

    Ownboard Carbon AT

My third Owenboard that I've bought. Board arrived exactly in 1 month, without any problem. I'm nearly 100 kg and I have no problem to ride on it. For heavier persons is the Carbon better than Bomboo because of big flex. I haven't tried the cloud wheels yet, but I think that will be great as well. I can recommend the Carbon to everybody.

    Great carbon GT

Perfect for running on the trails and hills around Denver.

Top speed and range test evolve 97mm wheels and 38 teeth pulley carbon board and a important lesson

Top speed with the evolve 97mm wheels and 38 teeth evolve pulley in mode 3 is about 23-24 mph. weight 80 kg. About a week ago i tested the range with this setup and in mode 2 did a 22 mile range test with also a lot of carving. Weather temperature about 6 degrees Celsius. At the end I had 1 blinking light left and think I could have extended the ride for about 2 miles. So my estimation 24 miles (cold weather with warmer weather I would expect 2-3 more miles). At the end of the ride I did get some jerking when accelerating full throtlle. the board would hold back and accelerate. So be aware when riding on low battery. Top speed at that time 17mph. This jerking on low battery is not a specific ownboard issue because my backfire g2 2019 has the same issue. Keep this in mind because this is a good board.

Today I wanted to compare my ownboard W2 torque against the carbon board but it started to rain so had to abort this test. The torque on the W2 did feel less but I was unable to time the difference. I do appreciate the flex and ride of the W2, but if you want a smaller and flexy board with a good range take a look at the exway flex that is coming out. And now for the important lesson. When the road is just a little wet be very cautious. I took a fall today when starting to carve on a road that was a little wet and also very slippery. So as soon as I started the carve the board slided away and I hit the road (speed was not even that high). I was wearing winter gloves and my helmet and thank god for that because I also landed on my face). The helmet was scratched a little on the front and the protective layer was dented in (did not expect that). So always wear a helmet and if not necessary don't ride on wet roades. I knew about the risks and still misjudged the situation.

This board is the smoothest, fastest board I've purchased!

    Loving my Ownboard!

ownboard carbon with 97mm evolve street wheels and 38 teeth pulley

Today i tested the carbon board with the evolve 97mm street wheels and 38 teeth evolve pulley:

You need a 6900 (rs) bearing for the pulley. I used a 5m 260 by 15mm belt. it fits but it brings the motors closer to the board and can cause the motors to be scratched. I had to tighten the bushings and put back the ownboard bushings on one of the king pins. I think that a 5m 270 belt will also fit. The Bamboo AT will not have this problem.

Between the pulley and the wheel i used a standaard 8mm washer (first install the pulley with the belt then slide a washer over the hanger end before mounting the wheel). I don't now if this is necessary but the standaard cloudwheel pulley also has a washer in place.

As expected i did get a top speed in mode 2 of 20-21mph (Evolve has a 150KV if i am correct and the ownboard 170KV so the same wheels and pulley will give a better speed on the ownboard). Ride was a little rougher than expected. Maybe this also had to do with the cold and wet weather (roads are dirty) but it also tells me how good the cloud wheels are on dampening the ride (less vibration on the feet). Torque and breaking was also better.

Now i know how to install street wheels on the carbon or bamboo AT and so do you.

Evolve super carve bushings seem a little better. Squeaking bushings use WD-40 works great (i remove the bushings first before using DW-40).

Have fun riding and be safe!!

    Great board

Board is great. Rides nice, handles beautiful.

    Is God board,hi power!!

I would like more types of wheels, i'm happy with the cloudwheels and the all terrain wheels..but I would like more gt feeling for perfect roads...

Its actually a really good board

My board has stood up to me torturing it. Its has been handling great. Good speed, great torque, and takes hills like a champ. 30° uphill without hesitation. AT wheels on it and you could ride it through the bowels of the underworld and back pretty smoothly. It corners sharply if you need/want. The battery life is great on the board, the controller will run out before the board does. It holds up sturdy to physical abuse, taking run ins with concrete and and metal with only minor dings and scratches. You will be broken before the board. Helmet is an absolute, and pads are highly recommended, you'll find yourself at high speed faster than you'd imagine and you'll find out how tricky gravity and momentum can be as fast as this board will accelerate. Be warned this thing is heavy, I was not expecting the heft of it and your average board carrier ain't gonna cut it. The grip tape will have to be replaced after a week or two, but I was in mud and rain, so take that with a grain of salt. This board is a blast though, I've already recommended it to many friends. Worth the money and a definite competitor to mainstream boards.
