Love the board I got the All terrain wheels and they are great for all the small bumps and cracks in and around my neighborhood/city
Feel as skying on a perfect powder with a wonderfull deck flex it's very confortable and a REAL PLEASUR to ride on any floors. It's very stable. Accelaration is strong enough if needed and just have to anticipate 1 seconde to get the soft progresive break.
I wasn't expecting this level of power and polish!! Stacks up to, and actually improves upon, the GT board it's 'imitating'...it's just as powerful, with much better velocity curves.
Extreme flex, and with the Cloudwheels, this is a real lowrider, which means the stability is out of this world. DKPs feel great right out of the box...and their quoted range numbers are accurate, I got about 24 miles riding moderately (178 lbs), you could push 30 if you're conservative enough.
Braking is strong . . .I'm really hard-pressed to find a criticism here, sooo impressed for this price.
This was my first esk8 and I went with an AT so I wouldn't have to worry about minor bumps and cracks in the street while I adjust to the board. The double kingpin trucks were a little wobbly and I had to tighten them and replace my bushings, but after that everything is good. Great customer support too! After I received my board they reached out on WhatsApp to see if I needed anything else.
Ordered while pre-purchase. Received the board in about a month.
Board looks great riding experience is very smooth. I have an experience of riding carbon version and it is the reason why I bought this bamboo one as I wanted to try something new.
This is my first double kingpin board and it needs to get some adjusting with new bushings. Hopefully when new bushings are installed, the riding will be even better.
Recommend this board (bamboo and carbon)!
Really good board, maybe add a small screen on the controller to see the battery percentage of the board. Also sell fast chargers that would be a great.
An amazing board and the communication with Ownboard was very good. Less waiting time than I thought and construction quality is really good for the price. With another remote and a street wheels kit it would be perfect!
Only had the board a little over a week and it's not the best season for skating, but managed about 35 miles on the Bamboo AT.
This is my first experience with an AT board and double kingpin tucks, so I assume many of my comments would be true for similar boards.
Things to note;
The board is heavy and huge. It's a good 6" longer than the average board, and 60% heavier. To avoid scratching the motors I tend to pull it by the rear trucks and use a lighter board for shopping trips.
The trucks needed tightening a fair bit. Combination of inexperience, ground clearance, flexible deck and tyres instead of PU means this feels more fidgety in the rear, particularly on poor surfaces. I could also feel speed wobbles starting below 20mph before I tightened up. Somebody with 100s of miles on Evolve boards would probably have little trouble, but I'd strongly recommend protective gear if you haven't.
Good things about the board itself;
Battery is great. 15 miles in freezing temperatures is not a problem. Too early for a full range test, but over 20 miles in summer seems feasible.
Smooth ride. What this board is all about, a huge reduction in vibration over hub boards makes this far more comfortable to ride long distances.
Grass. It handles it.
Build quality feels good.
USB port. For S7 owners I guess?
Plenty of power. Not had the courage or the weather to test top speed, but the published figures seem a little conservative.
Value for money.
Breaks are solid.
Solid tyres = no punctures.
2 mins to install Shredlights
Not so good things;
Remote is an older style, like the Boosted boards, where battery life is just 4 led indicators. Although, LCD displays with battery percentage are wildly inaccurate anyway.
No app to tweak settings or display board distance, battery cycles etc.
No alternative wheel setups yet.
In summary: Excellent buy for existing eSkaters with long commutes or for weekend trail rides.
The board took only 2 weeks to arrive, i contacted customer support because i didn't have the shipping label and they replied prety fast and fixed the issue (Awesome worker)
The box contains:
-Fully assembled Board
-A micro usb cable
-2 Backup Belts
-A bash guard (Protector for the deck)
-2 Allen Tools.
-Flexible but comfortable, it weight around 11kg but you can carry it (i'm not even strong), beautiful deck, looks durable
-Even on rocky paths its very nice to ride it.
-The range is amazing, i did the first test in a rocky path, semi wet roads, pebbles and asphalt, i did 20 Km accelerating, breaking and going almost full speed a lot. When i arrived home i still had 2 full dots in the battery indicator of the remote.
-The battery also have an usb port, you can even connect some lights there, pretty handy.
-Amazing belt motors, they have a lot of torque and they are very powerful, love the noise the belt does!
-Double kingpin trucks, it was my first time trying them and before riding i was afraid kf not liking them but guess what, they are amazing, it only need a bit of adjust with the T Tool and you are ready.
-You can turn in curves pretty easily.
-You will need to learn how to avoid speed wobbles with them.
-So far i loved them.
-Pretty nice honeycomb wheels, 6 inches, can handle rocky paths (like with small rocks, pebbles and some sand easily), grass, and semi rigid mud. Looks durable.
-Very smooth acceleration, start and break.
-Totally responsive in my first test.
-You actually feel in control of the board.
-The remote is the basic hobbywing one, is very simple, it doesn't have screen, you can see the battery dots by clicking the power button while it's on.
-It have 3 speed modes.
I weight 55 to 60kg
If i should rate this product i would give it a 10 out of 10 for now, i need to see in the long term but i feel pretty confident about...
It's only my first AT but my 3rd eboard and 2nd from ownboard. This thing is insane and doesn't lack anything, power, range, handling, offroading... Esc feels pretty smooth and braking is stronger than HUB models, and the deck is the best i've ridden in my life, (i've had like a dozen longboards) Time will tell, but for the moment i don't regret my purchase at all.
