Ownboard Prometheus Electric Skateboard

This is my 2nd board from Ownboard, I got the carbon AT in 2020 and it still working great after 5 years. The Prometheus is faster with better battery and works great too. Fast delivery. Love the remote and straps.

I bought the Prometheus and the diablo from Evolve at the same time in search of the most snowboard like carve feel. It is no comparison. After 6 months of riding both, the Prometheus is hands down the smoothest, most intuitive feeling carving board. The power and range are incredible, the board is quiet, with little to no resistance when I take off the throttle (good for coasting) and with the gear drive I can slam on the breaks and trust I’ll stop on a dime without worrying about belts slipping. All the new remotes have no issues. Oh, and the customer service has been incredible. I ran the board into a wall at 20 mph and bent a truck (my own fault), and they sent me brand new truck free of charge. This board is so underrated! I wouldn’t trade it for anything on the market. Pro-tip — If you’re between 160lbs and 200 lbs, buy an extra set of the orange bushings (from MBS) to have orange in front and back, and keep them both in the inside, narrow bushing settings. For street wheels, I switch to the 7 inch novas and I can carve at 30mph+ with total confidence.

This is absolutely crazy my remote stop working, it's showing half a display and stays on but doesn't work. No buttons are working, no torque wheel, nothing just the display still on but no function. Then the remote display is off and the remote isn't working at all.
First they send a board with flat tires ( I left a review for that) and now not even 2 months the remote stop working and I'm stranded having to catch a ride or call a Uber.

I just received my OWNBOARD prometheus and right out the box my wheels are flat and not holding air. I immediately emailed OWNBOARD customer service and they tell me to fix the wheel with the inner tube that's in the box. Why would I do that when that's the replacement inner tube I need when I'm riding and catch a flat. If OWNBOARD went me something broken out of the box a 1700 dollar purchase and customer service tells me to fix the tire. So they want me to possibly hurt myself with the metal rings around the tire or scratch up the rim by using tools to get the inner out the tire. That's ridiculous for anyone to purchase let's say a brand new car and it was sent to them with two broken tire and the car company tell you to fix the tire yourself. It's this the type of quality you want your customers to expect a broken product brand new out of the box. How easy would it be for a company to send two replacement tires. This is ridiculous and totally unacceptable that you can't send a replacement wheel when you sent it to me brand new broken, 1700 dollar device smfh. CANT RIDE IT WITHOUT WHEELS AND THE ONES OWNBOARD SENT ME ARE BROKEN.

Second day in, I shouldn't have to be dealing with something like this. Also, the charger is hitting 120f which seems kinda excessive. I wanna give it a better rating, nit what the fu... Heck

My experience with Ownboard started with a Zeus Pro Carbon that I bought on Facebook for a decent deal with trading a one wheel (not my thing). I bought that board with 200 miles on it, it now has over 3000 miles on it (no joke). This new Prometheus is insanely comfortable, thanks to ownboard and the other companies involved with the production of this board. Keep this trend going!

there is not a lot to say because it is almost perfect !
delivery was long but the ownboard team was always responsive and helpful.
the skate is really powerfull, it behaves really well at high speeds, and the range is HUGE.
the only thing i would like is a bash guard and a handle behind to put my red lights.
i am really happy with my purchase

I don't do reviews but this board deserves it. It's really well built, every part is well assembled and no noise during the ride. It's really a beautiful board to, trucks, rims, deck and geardrive, everything is nice. Very good torque, smooth, stable, can go everywhere and a good range. Every minute of ride is a pleasure. Here it is…after 380 miles on the Prometheus, I’m ready to spill the tea on the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly! The Good: The quality of build and components are 2nd to none! Reliable and exceptionally powerful LinnPower Gear Drives, Incredible Range, Decks combo of perfect foot feel, stiffness for stability, and just the right amount of flex for shock absorption and fatigue reduction is in a word…perfect! Speaking of perfect, the blissful high pitched whine of those huge motors at around 18+ MPH that sound like wizzzing Jet Turbines is simply music to my ears! Off Road I can attest to the fact that it is truly a Beast! Between the flex of the deck and the agility of those sick MBS Matrix III Trucks…it simply makes short work out of all but the most treacherous of trails! Pro Tip: Learn how to adjust and swap out those highly adjustable bushings to customize your preferences. It’s not only ridiculously easy to do, but they are probably the most customizable trucks on the market for what ever environment or style you prefer! The Bad: You will look and feel Bad A$$ and think you’re invincible at times. Trust me…you’re not! As well, you will get tired of people asking you How fast does that thing go? And then challenging you to show them…like your some kind of circus freak whose gonna take a chance with your life at that exact moment for their amusement?! The Ugly: The sometimes unpredictable throttle delay that OwnBoard has rapidly addressed by reaching out to all its Prometheus customer base and providing them with replacement remote to solve this specific issue! That was simply my only slight concern or complaint, and they’ve addressed it with me before I even said a word…it’s almost like they listen to their customers thoughts…even before they’ve expressed them?! 🤔😱

So much torque, carves very well with the mbs trucks and the linnpower gearbox is smooth and sounds great.
Customer service has been really good!
This is a very high performance package and great bang for your buck. Highly recommend the Ownboard Prometheus!
